Greetings.

I am going to continue this thread only because it might help others in the future.

Open cell foam, like what is used in seat cushions in couches and such, glues up pretty well with 3M77.

Electric knives work well for cutting foam. So does a bandsaw with a reasonably sharp blade. I used a 1/2" Woodslicer blade on mine and it was great.

Now one bit of advice - If you ever need to cut the foam in a bandsaw, clean it off of all external fibers as well as possible beforehand. The thick white batting that may be on reclaimed couch foam does not cut. It just gets sucked down by the blade and will end up in huge 'hairballs' in places you don't really want them, i.e. guides for the blades, causing much heating/friction.

I don't yet know if open cell or closed cell foam will work best for sealing the gaps at the top of the hangar doors. More to follow in a couple of weeks.

Regards.
