Unmodified props have worked rather well for ~40 years in P-30.

People who are discussing props here are talking about going thru a bunch of props from different makers to find ones that are usable. The beginning flier who builds a P-18 from a kit is not going to know whether he has a prop with wildly unequally pitched blades until the model tries to shake itself apart in the air. And then the rules prevent him/her or a helpful more experienced flier from making a simple adjustment that will fix the problem.

In doing some research for them it piqued my interest in building one. Good for banging around the local gym and not worrying about breaking anything. Also, helps me help them. AND, all the propeller data was published for ALL to see on Hippocket. With the rules the way they are, I don't see where any particular design will be better than any other. Just good clean fun!
