Mike, I can only find "Bestine Solvent and Thinner", do they make a rubber cement product also? If not, are you saying you use Bestine to thin down (any) rubber cement and use that? If so, what ratio is good to use?
The covering on the wing and stab I've glued on with dissolved glue stick seems to be holding up after a week but I'm not sure about the long-term results.
Also, I didn't weight before and after covering (my bad) so I'm not sure what the weight increase was due to the glue itself, I suspect it is probably higher that it should be, that is why I'm asking about the ratio of thinner to rubber cement.
All I can find for Rosignol is ski equipment/clothing, si there a different spelling?

I use Bestine for those reasons. The company makes natural rubber cement and thinner (Bestine).
Whatever it is in there doesn't bother me, doesn't smell bad, and doesn't make my family complain.
All of which are good things. Plus it is still pretty sticky.
I think the glue stick method was for adhering condenser paper. Now that you can use OS film, you should go that route. glue stick would work well on tissue, but I doubt it would work well on mylar films.
One 3m77 solvent is Rosignol, which IIRC, doesn't smell terrible. Haven't tried that yet though.
