I've made three different Taylorcraft models, all Comet plans, 20", 28" and 54".
There is no doubt in my mind that the 54" is far easier to trim than the smaller ones.
My 28" model flies well too, but is nowhere near as impressive as this one.

But again - Not everyone has a place to fly a model this large. I daresay that I am lucky in that regard.
There is no way I could fly this in Racine.
