Do you feel the SO rules for Wright Stuff Rubber band powered planes will remain stable enough for consistent year to year competition? I built a plane fitting the 2014-2015 SO rules, only to have the rules change the next year. Does the SO committee feel that the rules need to change every year to challenge the student's thinking? Having another committee in the rules mix without much influence by AMA members might lead to more contention than a stable set of P-18 rules. Maybe it would be better to get the SO committee to adapt P-18 planes, with changes in flight tasks they see fit.
