Any flying model aircraft category that has low cost entry and uses small amounts of material and has rather compact models, has a lot to recommend it!

Maybe some of the best modelers are not great salesmen. They are the type willing to spend long hours developing high performance models and trimming them for maximum performance. That's not an activity for a person who needs constant companionship! Yet, who doesn't appreciate having someone awed by their accomplishment, and won't be nice to that person?

To me, the best promotional tool Indoor has is seeing the models in flight! Even a YouTube video of any of them is inspiring. The recent EAA posting about last weekend's event is a good example. From MashUps to other rubber powered models, to the hand launch glider drifting past their Mosquito, it all made me go, "Ah!" And, the pictures of the throngs of young children having a good time chucking simple balsa models, shows there is some attraction to flying models for most young people. We just get distracted later by other things.
