If push comes to shove, we can also make our wings so that they can be taken apart into two halves. I think we have enough weight budget to easily accommodate this.

 The Japanese solution is perfect, too.
 

 The rules don't need to be changed.
 

 The "good ol days" of 65 cm royally sucked when it came to traveling to contests. The 55 cm models have made it so much easier to travel.
