The Japanese guys have a good solution to this problem. The end plates of
the box are made out of 1 mm thick stainless steel, so the outer dimension
of the box is 55 cm and you can fit a 55 cm wingspan model inside pretty
easily.
I guess ultimately we'll have to see how much they enforce the new rules.
