I made a few gram-cm meters but found that calibrating them was difficult
b/c of the shorter arm.

When I first started making meters I wasn't working. The main reason the
price went up is that after the initial batch was made I was once again
working full time and couldn't justify spending time making torque meters
for less than I would make working at my job. Production stopped when I no
longer had time to make them at any price.

The only problem I've encountered was in the first few meters I used a 500g
capacity scale. The scale was not sensitive enough to stay lit during
winding. Changing the scale out to a 200g unit solved that problem.

Thanks to all who were early adopters of this radically different device.
And also thanks to all who have made such nice comments about using the
meter. I personally can't imagine going back to my old meters. The one I'm
using is the first one I made (except for upgrading to the adjustable arm
and the 200g scale). I've never had a problem of any kind with it.
