Mr. Orsovai, I hope you don't mind a question or two. These sort of design decisions interest me.

First, how deep is the web that you use front and back? I typically use 1" or roughly 25mm. These look to be maybe 15mm? Am curious why they are so short. The crushing forces are pretty significant at less than 25mm.

The thrust bearing isn't Harlan's and looks to be homemade. (very nice, by the way.)
The offset from the motor stick seems larger than Harlan's. I am just curious why that is?

I assume the Y brace in the front is to stop yourself from accidentally crushing the motor stick?
