That is just plain Wrong , Wrong, WRONG. The word maximum is clear in its meaning and I think would be understood in most countries. It certainly does not mean ‘or a little bit over if that is what you fancy’.

That was the policy that was followed at the 2012 World Champs in Belgrade. The go/no go weight was set at 610mg.

I have heard that they allow you a few mgs for o-ring weight. If there is a question about the weight of the band, they will allow you to wipe off any excess lube and cut off the o-rings to measure.
IIRC, Brett or John told me that.
