I would disagree on the boron part.
I had a lot of issues with tailbooms turning into bananas in the beginning.
(Even now I found one I had rolled in the fall and put up somewhere safe and forgot about - I didn't put on the boron and it is about two inches off.)
Someone suggested putting boron onto the tailboom at 12, 4 and 8 o'clock.
Since then, I have always had nice straight tailbooms.

And 0.009" with the new rules? I put 150mg of clay at the stab on my hybrid new/old rules parts at Kent to get it to balance. Respectfully I would suggest that 0.009" is way too light/thin, especially without boron. 0.010" and probably 0.011" would be a better choice, along with carbon posts for the stab. I think Boron will still be necessary even with 0.011".

The rest of your post I mostly agree with. As a potential kit producer though, I'd much rather have one version to assemble/sell.
