One thing we are going to run into are two different personality types too.

One is like me: I try different things until I find the right tool. And when I find the right tool, I buy it and use it. I could build my own stuff (and often do!), but I'd rather purchase tool for $50 than spend $150 of my time recreating it.

Another will eschew all purchased tools and decide that they can do better and will make all of their own.
Everything they own is custom-made and they would never buy anything but raw materials if they could get away with it.

One would be interested in a kit with all the various tools.
The other would be interested in downloading the plans (maybe!), but more likely would look at the pictures and do his own thing.
