To further analyze the scenario of (2b)

 - maintaining model weight at 1.2 g
 - reducing motor weight to reduce flight time
 

 

 One question: At what reduced motor weight would the flight time be reduced by 1/3?
 

 

 Answer: 0.31 g of rubber
 

 

 My opinion: I much prefer 0.4 g of rubber and 1.4 g of model to 0.31 g of rubber and 1.2 g of model.
