Something that hasn't been discussed is the timing of this rule change. If
I remember correctly the 55cm rules were passed well before the 2000 world
champs. The 2000 champs were effectively the last 65cm event, and their
was a clean transition.
This change wasn't passed until after the world champs and the rules take
effect in the middle of the current cycle. Why is their such a rush to put
these rules in place? It would make a lot more sense to postpone the rule
change until immediately following the 2016 world champs. That would give
people time to work on new models without this in between limbo that
everyone is caught in now.
