It seems too me that for purposes of AMA records that the old rules should
apply until the new rules go into effect. But I agree with Leo that it
would be a good idea to to fly under the new rules in competition. I'm not
sure that both of those can be accomplished but several people are on the
verge of record setting performances and I'd hate to see that effort go to
waste.
