I want to thank everyone for their kind remarks. Achieving this level of performance has been a long time in coming, and a number of y'all have played critical roles in the development of my current F1D design.

Congratulations to Bill on his new record, too. He did a great job with a really neat and highly developed airplane. I didn't get a chance to see much of its flights, but I am certain that Bill will be in the 15 minute range with this model before long.

I would be remiss to mention the level of flying from Nick and Kang. Nick's model still doesn't come close to taking full advantage of that flying site and is still having some teething issues. Once those are fixed, his model will be unstoppable. I consider it to be the most technologically advanced F1D in the world. It carries an incredible level of efficiency and stability (other than turning right at high torque!).

Kang's F1D was also very impressive. I was amazed at how well it flew with so little wing offset. It should be noted that his model also made it into the mid-26 minute range, a very high level of performance. It was not long ago that the site record was in the low 20's. There's also the fact that my hub is based off of his excellent carbon/wire assembly, which offers very low friction and extremely consistent results.

All in all it was a great day of flying. It feels really good to set a record!

 Good flying,
 Joshua Finn
