RE: Scale prop

I fly at 5,000’ elevation, and I also follow Mr. Hodson’s general rules. Further, every time I’ve been seduced by someone else’s wild-looking prop, and strayed from the 1.5 upper-end, I’ve gotten myself in trouble. Now, I’m a pretty (very…) clunky builder, with a “cub-like” Pnut coming in at ~8g on a good day, a “WWII-ish” ship coming in at ~ 9-11g, and a “draggy bipe” coming in at ~ 12-14g.

I haven’t built enough dimers to know where my airplanes will tend to settle-out with respect to weight.

I’ve never built a no-cal, but based on some of the photos I’ve seen, it appears to me that these very light aircraft can stand more in the P/D dept.

My indoor scale planes have Prop P/D ratios of 1.25 to 1.5. These include peanut scale, 16" span scale models & no-cals.

Dear all Looking for info from those with indoor scale experience. What is the recommendation on P/D ratio of props for flying scale?
