I am one of those with perceived lack of skill to build F1D. In all honesty, if i got
Some good wood, covering, and a bit of time, i am pretty sure
I could build one. It looks difficult, but no where near impossible. a good VP hub is a bit intimidating, not going to lie. But In no way has anyone in the indoor community come off as an arrogant jerk. Heck, at a local flying session I found a former F1D world champ to be more than approachable and extremely encouraging. I am pretty sure if I want to get into F1D, which I do eventually, this individual, as well as many others
on this board as well as HPA, would answer questions and assist in my F1D education any way they could.

So if people find F1D fliers to be jerks, maybe they need to look at themselves. Everyone I have met in the indoor and free flight community has come off as friendly, helpful, and a good person. Far from arrogant jerks, if nothing else.

>> Jake, that wasn't the point. I agree with you on that aspect. My issue was with the delivery. Our goal should be to sell F1D to as many folks as possible, and that isn't happening despite this being a time when it has never been easier to build a competitive F1D. So to get a little more blunt, many on the outside view us F1D fliers as arrogant jerks. If we want FAI indoor to remain at the pinnacle status it enjoys, we have got to stop perpetuating that perception.
