Having not done one before my concern was how to accurately mount the
blades on the spar while holding them on the pitch guage. Still a
concern for me but I will give it a try after all the good advice I've
gotten here

Earlier in this discussion I must have missed why a one piece prop spar
is not desirable/practical. I can understand the need for two spars if VP
hubs are used or if you want to change the blade pitch angle by loosing
the spar to hub glue joint & repositioning the blade angle. Are there
