I only build prop blades separately now. Each spar glued to each blade. I then assemble the spars/blades together by gluing them to a balsa hub. During this final assembly, I make sure a: the spars are aligned and b: the right pitch is set. Here, I do a lot of bending and twisting of the spars to get the alignment and pitch I want. It's not the way of the craftsman, but I have found that it works better for me than the traditional way as shown in the Hobby Shop EZB article.

For my light EZB's, I don't use an explicit hub. I overlap the spars by a small amount (say .2") and sandwich the prop shaft. The prop shaft has a small bend at the end that is sandwiched. This creates a very strong shaft to spar joint with a minimum amount of weight. After the glue dries, I again bend and twist the spars with the desired amounts.
