The Alexei carbon tube, 6mm diameter with a 0.1mm wall thickness, weighs just under 90mg per inch. For comparison, a .250" diameter (about 6mm) balsa tube made from 0.013" thick sheet of 4# density (about 0.3mm) weighs about 11mg per inch. This is a typical tube used for F1D motor sticks.
Such observations are a constant reminder to me of what an amazing material balsa is.
