Post no. 54 is the beginning of a discussion on modeler made carbon tubes.
I read all of it some time ago and don't remember how complete the
discussion was but the tubes for these planes were reputed to be very
strong and light, much more so that any manufactured carbon fiber tubing.
The plane described has had a large influence on the design of such indoor
aerobatic RC planes and the development has been steady and thorough over
the last few years. The difference in the flight of the planes from 2010
until now as shown on the various videos is really noticeable.
Alexei seems to be quite willing to be helpful and might have information
that could be useful for indoor FF construction.
