Art,

I don't use the toggle. I wind to max torque then lock and dock the winder. Record torque and winds, then press zero button on counter and back off to target torque. Record those numbers then hook up and fly.

After landing I put motor back on winder and torque meter, push zero button and count and record turns remaining and the flight time. Bill Gowen's spreadsheet does the calculations for RPM and turns used.

Only have flown once, so may not be the ideal way.

Do any of the Chain Gang ever use the subtract count feature? The new counters are more compact and present soldering challenges that I didn't have before. It'd make it a lot easier to fabricate if I could leave that toggle switch off.

Thanks,

Art.
