I think the climb time greatly depends on

a) site: for examnple -- Slanic versus Lakehurst
b) specific of VP settings

From the 2002 WC report in INAV 109, Steve Brown says 5-8 min climbs, mostly 5-ish. Doug Schafer reported 12 minutes to the top.

At the Kibbie, I seem to recall that Sanborn and Kagan climbed slowly to 135', say 12 minutes. Mine was much faster, say 8 minutes.
