Hmmm...never have put tape on the back of a razor blade...probably if it's cutting into your skin it needs to be replaced.

Agreed on that bearing wrap thing, especially on a pennyplane. I have enough trouble keeping the bearings on F1D's...wouldn't think of putting a non-wrapped bearing on a pennyplane.
