To maybe clear this up there actually are rules for ROG Stick in the AMA
rulebook. On page IND-2, section 4.there is a sentence containing one
rule for ROG Stick:

Rise-Off-Ground Stick Model---the projected area of the supporting
surface(s) shall not exceed 30 square inches; see also section 13.

By looking at the records listings I figured out that ROG Stick is event
number 214.

But now I'm confused about the one rule. Is the maximum area 30 si for
the wing and stab combined?
(no - I'm not interested in building one)
