The amount of torque a motor can be wound to varies with temperature. In a
hot site like Belgrade motors typically break at lower torques than they
would in a could environment. The mine is rather cold compared to other
places I have flown. I could frequently wind to much higher torques than I
could in warmer sites. That's not to say that the torque stays
comparatively high as the motor unwinds, just that the launch/winding
torque is higher.
