Wacky flight in Racine last night...

LeRoy Cordes built a new penny plane a while back and had done a great job in getting it dialed in. Nearly every flight he had been getting consistent 9 minutes plus with a bit of ceiling bumping.

Well one bump must have been stronger than before because next thing we know, one blade of the prop is fluttering down from the ceiling. And that darn plane took it almost like nothing happened. Sure it was shuddering a bit, but still flew - great landing at just short of 8 minutes.

Irony was pretty high as Bob Warmann had just been talking about how much he hated single blade props, so common back in the day. Next thing we know, a single bladed limited penny plane...

I was really kicking myself because I hadn't brought my camera...

Regards.
