I'm late to reply. You can cut at any length and still have the correct
thickness and even use for diagonal ribs also but I have not done so yet.

I did not set up to print to a fixed length.

You could insert into CAD, adjust length, and "trace" with a few spline
points and come close enough for most purposes.
