I doubt there is much effect. Actually the Dow Corning silicon fluid 200
that I use is an industrial version (less purified) of a fluid intended
to be digested (medical use)! I got the tip for the fluid from Eimar,
who used to use the medical brand, luckily I managed to find non-medical
version - much cheaper!

I have noticed that during the most hectic outdoor flying season I may
get some rash on some fingers (the ones in contact with the motors when
tying the knots), but I'd suspect that I am much more likely to react to
the latex in the rubber than the silicone....
