For all you guys out there, once you get your rib slicers, I suggest you
grab a tea candle and rub down all of the contact areas where it's wood
against wood. You'll notice an incredible difference.

1/4" cabinet grade birch ply with 1/8 plexi top. Two stainless steel
countersunk screws, common 4-40 x 3/8". Birch would be engraved.
