Yes, I believe. Enough live exposure should lead to more interest, hopefully leading to expressed effort to try indoor. At some point (of growth) newcomers themselves will help solve whatever "beginners events" problems are supposedly preventing their enjoyment. Sure, we can advocate now for better rules, easier beginner events, whatever might help, and I'll vote yay. But enhanced exposure of indoor may be the doable growth hope, for now.

A motivated local group having a monthly gym session where HVAC turns off seems more important and sustainable than the luxury of a Grand Ballroom requiring long distance travelers to help support. (Sure, at some point, why not try both, but you have described the risks inherent with a population spread thinly already.)

Nice. We may need to get (via exposure) 25 people to just SAY this before even 1 of them will want to give it a try on any level.
