Bill, I too believe in careful calibration--I was merely praising the tradition of wire compared to digital method. But I'll get around to trying digital too. No doubt it's handy to have one device that covers all motor cross sections than the two meters I carry. (Sort of three, but two of them are mounted on the same base, so that's one device.) My ministick meter can read to .001 in-oz, but so far I've never needed that kind of resolution.
