HI Ken,

I got my copy on "permanent temporary loan" from a friend who had
bought a copy when they came out, never used it and happened to find
out that I flew indoor. Anyway, my binding came apart and I took over
to "Doug the Printer" and used (I used to run a bindery for another
printer) one of his machines to punch a series of narrow holes down
the spine and then installed a plastic comb. This works better than
the original binding as it allows the book to open fully and lay
flat. I don't know if copy shops have plastic comb machines but most
small full service printers should have one. This only takes a few
minutes to punch and a $ or so for the comb so the cost should be
minimal.
