Ok, but beware there are advantages to how you were doing it before. With a free standing spar, you can be more confident it will end up straight and flat if it started out straight and flat. Sometimes a warp will magically appear upon slicing off pre boron'd spar, with little recourse. (That is, if you embed the boron. Some do not, in order to adjust the straightness of errant wood.) Also, you can estimate the final weight more accurately with free standing spar. Easy to waste an hour with my method due to a dissappointing result. (So I just make another one, or maybe even abandon that sheet.)
