Pontiac, MI Spring Fling May 6, 2012

I started a photo album for the Ultimate Soccer Arena event in Pontiac. I only had one useable photo so if anyone else would like to add to the album please feel free to do so.

My general impression of the site was that the space was impressive and the air was good. The ceiling trusses and horizontal bracing were pretty unforgiving if you went above them. I calculated the center height to the bottom of the trusses to be about 66' and the height at the 15 meter circle to be about 60'. Don't hold me to these numbers as they are not actual measurements but are based on photos and info published on the contest flyer.

If these numbers are close to correct then the safe vertical space is about 10' higher than Kent. That correlates fairly well with my best A6 times at the two sites of 7:20 at Kent and 7:38 at the Spring Fling. I believe both of those flights had one or two hits on the ceiling.
