Tom,

This sounds like a great idea. I would purpose borrowing the 2002-2003
middle school Wright Stuff rules. Several of the F1D Junior Team members
over the years (myself included) started out flying similar models. They
can offer up to five minutes of flight time in a high site and they are
fairly easy to build and trim. The model that year was:

Min Weight 10gm
Max Wing Span 50cm
Max Wing Cord 12cm
Max Tail Span 35cm
Max Tail Cord 10cm
Rubber Motor Max 2gm
With a one piece commercially available plastic prop

I would think about allowing plastic covering rather than requiring paper
covering.
