The only thing holding back the Kibbie Dome right now is finances. The building is available and he has tentative dates scheduled if someone is willing to finance the contest.

The only options I see are to either persuade ETSU to relocate the banners (the current location was chosen to provide visibility without casting a shadow on the basketball floor - but I think there might be other locations that would accomplish the goal), or to negotiate a better deal with the sign company owner (an R/Cer).

He's not online but I talk to him frequently. Should I inform him that Johnson City is back on, or should he continue investigating the Kibbie Dome as an option?

Recently, their athletic conference mandated that banners of member schools be displayed in the Dome. The location of these ten banners prohibit the administration of our National Contest. Obviously it is too late to search for another venue. The company that installed them has given us a cost to take them down and put them back after the contest - $1,300. As a one-time project, I am confident that we indoor flyers (contestants, and those interested in sustaining indoor building and flying) can raise the money for this "Removal and Replacement" of the banners. A donation in any amount will help make it possible. We need to do this soon. Step two would be to conduct a serious search for indoor space for next year.
