I can't express how much of an honor it was to be John Kagan's AM this year AND be mentioned in the 10,000th post!!

My family and co-workers asked me what I won this year. Can't say much hardware, but so much knowledge it was like being back in flight school. As my private pilot instructor once said, "Do WHATEVER IT TAKES to make an airplane do what you need it to do." This also applies to Indoor in the form of cracking and gluing, building supplemental rudders/winglets/whatever on proven designs between flights (as Romash taught me) and methodically cramming so many winds into a motor that it almost hums. It was, by far, the best model airplane contest I've ever been to.
