Hear ,hear!! I'll second that ..What we now have is a case of unintended consequences or a failure to examine thoroughly the rules and their intent and the ability to CLEARLY explain them .so ALL will know exactly what they are.Congrats Kate for showing us the weakness of the A-6 rules . Thanks to you eventually they will be sorted out. The Contest Board does pretty good ,but rule proposals must be clear ,precise ,exact and able to be understood on 1 sheet of paper. Intent of rule is meaningless unless you were there when the rule was written .Just my $.02 worth.

Not so fast. Are you not the person who pounded the drum to get A-6 adopted as an AMA event? If you have not pushed the issue to make it an AMA event then A-6 would still be exactly how it has been for years. Just because it has now twisted into something you did not foresee or did not explain well enough to the ICB does not mean you had nothing to do with it and can simply wash your hands of what happened by blaming the Indoor Contest Board.

    Katie,

The AMA rules for Indoor FF are wholly governed by the eleven-person Indoor Contest Board. They vote on all new rules, as well as rule changes. So they deserve all the blame for this.
