Perhaps another problem for newcomers is the requirement that the motor shall be Tan II rubber. Forgetting the fact that in 1960 there was no Tan II rubber, the last batches of Tan II rubber are now approaching 10 years in age and are rarely available to new fliers. While the plans in INAV #125 make no mention of the rubber or motor, the article accompanying the plans says that the first motor was a "short loop of 1/16 Pirelli."
