One can "google" Moffett Field in California and get quite a bit of information about the three hangars there. The url below links to the re-use guidelines for Hangar #2 currently leased to and shared by Airship Ventures (for the Zeppelin Eureka) and E-Green (a three lease started in January for a larger, remotely piloted blimp). A similar url (change the 2 to a 3) links to the re-use guidelines for the similarly sized and designed Hangar #3 (most redcently used, in part, by the Air National Guard). These two smaller hangars at Moffett Field are basically the same as two hangars at Lakehurst (about a mile west of the larger hangar used weekly for indoor flying), the two hangars at Tustin, and a hangar in Tillamook OR. These seven are the only remaining hagars out of seventeen built to the same basic design as part of the War effort in the 1940's.

The Moffett Field hangars and site are currently under the management of NASA through the NASA Ames Research Center which occupies part of the site.

There are three hangars, one very large one that once housed the USS Macon, the other two smaller units which were built during WWII to house blimps. He tells me that the big hangar has been off limits for several years because of either asbestos or lead paint "contamination." One of the small hangars is currently in use by the airship "Eureka," the dirigible currently flying sightseeing flights over the San Francisco area. The second small hangar is used for storage.
