Eric, kind of a random thought, but if the prop blades were tipped aft and
had a corkscrew bend...??? might increase the forward velocity within an
allowed prop radius. Take it one step further...swept back (or forward)
prop blades? The effect would be increased blade area, not diameter and
either a sculling or corkscrewing effect. I would suspect the efficiency would
suffer a bit though...plus the additional wieght
 
But! at the low RPM's of indoor ships it may keep the prop turning
longer...? something to look at....
