Jeff Hood and I discussed updating the hard cover volumes with the last five years of issues. We have also discussed making the 21 issues on the website free for everyone, in the hopes of just getting the info out there. It's just a matter of having time to do it, and I'm out of the picture now (not that Jeff didn't do most of the technical wizardry - because he most certainly did).
We built the website, and worked hard to put all new issues up on it in PDF format for easy downloading at the same time as the new issues were mailed. I was pretty much relieved of my editing duties because we were only getting out one issue a year, (and last year none), which is fair enough. I recently took down the paypal link after I transferred all INAV funds to Van. Good news is we managed the cash well (partially due no doubt to only getting one, sometime two issues out a year) so there is more than $5k in the account.
More importantly, while Jeff and I were both very busy, and I regret and apologize for not getting more issues out, most of the delay in putting out new issues was trying to get close to 40 pages of material. If you don't like the reduced size of INAV - write an article and send it in to Van or Jeff.
Please keep in mind that this is a volunteer run publication. No one gets a cent for their time, the website is on server space donated by Hood, and the last time I made a call for volunteers – March 7, 2010, Van was the only one to respond. Let me repeat that. The last time I called for volunteers, on this mailing list (do a search for "volunteer"), Van was the only one who stepped up.
If folks want to change the way the publication is being run, donate your time.
