Who is planning to go to Tustin to fly?
One of the great things about the Tustin hangar is that there is no clutter on the floor. It is totally clean. The glider guys know this, and that's why they love it. For rubber guys, what this means is that there is a lot of room to launch and fly. There can be lots of models in the air at once.
I've heard that the air in the Tustin hangar can be very good in the Fall, but I have not had personal experience. In April, in the 2 days that I was there, one day was great. The air was buoyant and centered my F1L perfectly in a 25' circle at the ceiling.
Those with Tustin experience, speak up! We need as many people to attend as possible.
If you decide to come, the orange county airport Santa Ana (also called John Wayne airpot) is right next door and very convenient. Also check LAX or San Diego to see if there are cheaper flights. (Unlikely that San Diego has cheaper flights but likely for LAX.) LAX and San Diego airports are each about one to one and a quarter hours away. If you come through San Diego and need a ride -- I might be able to help depending on your schedule. Please contact me offline.
