I have been flying A-6 for 4 years, and even using the best high-aspect ratio
designs from Kansas and the West Coast (you know who you are), I have never done
better than 4 minutes. I think this is more than not having 99 Tan II. Winding,
trimming and flying are a combined art. I have found that there is a huge
difference between 1.4 grams on my plane and 1.2 grams on a winning plane, and
flying a lot vs flying less frequently.

But just as with SO, where I have also never done more than 4 minutes, I find it
HUGELY satisfying, and always come back for more. If you have an A-6, LPP, SO,
and a P-24 Condor for the Mass Launch, none of these require super techniques or
exotic materials, but you can fly more and have more fun. Also, if you take the
time to wander around and talk to the "experts", they will help you, give you
stuff, and share experiences, often sacrificing much needed flying time for
themselves.

Don't forget to build a nice traveling box for each model or set of models, and
you can fly the same plane for YEARS, always increasing your stable of ponies.
Read back issues of INAV, and use this forum for what it was designed for. Have
fun, enter everything, and fly. Go to Kent, go to Tustin, go to Kibbie Dome, and
fly with me at Johnson City.

<<I think only a few people can fly A6 for 6 minutes in the ordinarily
available >>

Not criticizing the kicking around of options, but seems LPP proved itself
attractive enough to draw the AMs. Why bail on something reasonably easy/hard
 yet with some indoor pizazz.
