In my humble opinion, perhaps we should not exclude this years Amateur partcipants from next years event. I hardly think one event is enough to move one from Amateur to Pro in Indoor FFand is it smart to deplete our supply of Amateurs? Perhaps winning the event might be a better criteria for "Pro-moting" them?
Honestly, I'm not sure where I would fit in this scheme. I plan to attend next year and planned to particpate as a "Pro" teaming up with James Strickland who is a newcomer to Indoor and will be going to USIC with me but I hardlty have a resume that says Pro.

That brings up another sort of Pro-Am that might be doable next year or at some point in the future. The amateur (or novice or whatever) would build a model and then team with a pro for the competition. It would be the pro's job to teach or help the am to get the most out of their model.
John, do you think there will be enough new amateurs to run another pro-am of some sort next year? I don't think the ams who were in this years event should be able to do it again.
