When I was having the same problem (Not feeling the tightening) one of
the indoor guys checked my stripper and suggested that I needed to
increase the pressure on the blades.

Did you get an extra set of blades with your stripper? If so I would
change them out. If not, then examine the blades under magnification to
see if there is a damaged area. You may be able to sharpen the blades
with a technique similar to the Harlan stripper. I can post the
instructions if you need them.

Looking at my Oppegard I don't see any adjustment for blade spacing but I
haven't had the need to take it apart.

Maybe someone has an extra set of blades they would part with.

Subject: [Indoor_Construction] Oppeguard rubber stripper

Hi All,
I just obtained a used Oppeguard rubber stripper, that leaves sections of
rubber totally uncut. The uncut sections vary in length from a fraction
of an inch to a couple of inches or a little more, as well as the rate of
recurrance. The crank handle has a very slightly noticeable tightening at
one certain point in it's rotation but as I say, it's barely detectable,
& since the blades rotate at different speeds, does this indicate a blade
with a dull spot or perhaps a blade with a warped area? Has anyone else
ever ran into this with an Oppeguard? & does anyone know of a fix or how
to get it repaired?

Thanks,
James Strickland
