It is quite straightforward. The whole unit is held together with
friction pins, so slowly and carefully wiggling the unit out exposes the
spring. I first used a small loop of rubber instead of the spring, but
then got a spring from a friend. Not sure about the precise dimensions,
guess something like 0.2mm wire around 2.5 or 3mm mandrel, total length
a little less than 10mm
